Bird watching

To me, bird watching is a boring process because I have to sit and stare at the sky or breeding grounds and wait for birds to come. Even when I do, I have too little knowledge about birds I am looking at and hence donot appeal to me.

However, I see that there are many who really enjoys the process of birdwatching. Are you one of them?

If you are, please let us know whats the inspiration behind adopting such a hobby.

A girl once invited me to go bird watching with her. According to her, it makes her feel relaxed and motivated. I didn't go, who the heck draws motivation from watching birds?

I have a bird feeder located right outside my office window. (I work from home) I even have a big woodpecker that hangs upside down and eats from it. I love watching them I buy gourmet wild bird seed that has peanuts in it, they can't resist.

I like bird watching but I don't sit and wait for the birds to come or keep birds on cage and watch them. I like to go to forests and watch birds in their natural habitat.

This I can totally relate with as its a display of compassion and its not like you are watching over the bird. The problem is when we have to sit down in a place, take a binoculars and wait for birds to come and then watch them doing thier stuff like preening and all those. Its a big no no from me.
