Can you forgive a cheating partner?

I have read online on social media about people's open confession about how they fared in their relationship. Some cheated and get caught. The fortunate one's were forgiven by their partners and their relationship still went on like nothing happened. The unfortunate one's saw their relationship ended and over.

Would you forgive and forget the cheating of your partner if you found out?

I can forgive them but I cannot stay in a relationship with them. Staying with them is demonstrating that you're okay with it. It enables them to do it again. Leaving them sends them a message that their behavior is not acceptable.
