Nature as therapy

I'm a housewife so I'm fortunate to be able to get outside often. I'm more outside in the warmer months than colder as I cannot stand the cold. However, we have a dog who loves the cold so I bundle up to take her for her walks on our acreage. I have guides for our homestate of the local flora & fauna. I can get lost in trying to identify creatures. Do you view gardening, flowers, plants as "Nature Therapy"? Does it help your mood & reduce your stress levels?
 
I love to go hiking. My area has a beautiful county park that is very hilly and so the workouts are great for cardio. I take the trails that not many people go on and I see all kinds of wildlife and often sneak up on them because I'm so quiet! It's very relaxing.
