As I have said we planned our retirement well. We were living in the city and most cities are always polluted. We bought a piece of land years ago in a semi rural town and I as a designer got an opportunity to design our home.

Everything is nice about this place, no pollution, not much traffic and not many people either

That's very very beautiful and hope you are proud of yourself. That's my plan but in my case house will be in town. I spend most of my life in the rural areas and I would like my retirement home to be in town, preferably close to a mall.

Interesting that you want to retire in a city. We had enough of that - pollution, congestion and distances. Here where we live everything is close at hand and is peaceful. Gardening is my passion and I get to do that to my heart's content

I'm planning something similar. The problem is the expense of plumbing, running city water out there.
