There is a big difference between writing for the fun and writing for the purpose of having your books published. Do you use to have that dream of being an author of many books? Have you written any or did you give up on such dream?

No. I'm not good at that kind of thing. When I was a teenager I dreamed about being a writer and even tried to write my own stories. I couldn't over come my writer's block.

I used to want to be published, but doubt I ever will.
Same here. Never say never, though.
I started writing a horror novel years ago, despite the fact that I don't like horror novels. I wrote the first couple chapters and have had a writers' block on it ever since. At this rate, I will never make progress on it.

I have written over a dozen books, fiction, non-fictions, as well as poetry. I have also published half a dozen books. Some of my books are available for purchase on Amazon.

In high school I wanted to write a vampire fantasy novel. It didn't happen. I had writers block really bad. I was and still am devoid of ideas.

When I was 12 I remember putting piece of paper into a box to pull out the one which would reveal the career I should go into. Writing was one of those, but I really wanted to be an artist too. I eventually became an artist and my sister became the writer! I've written a couple of young teen books and did self-publishing on Amazon, but wasn't confident enough to really promote myself.

Aww, that’s still pretty cool though!

I think you should push towards overcoming the writer's block. It is not something that is easy to overcome, but with determination and effort, it is not impossible. I will be here, hopefully, to read your piece of art when you are done writing this vampire fantasy novel.

I'm in the process of working on writing one at the moment. I'm currently working on chapter 7 at the moment.

Does anyone have any suggestions on getting your work published?

While I have written a lot & had goals of publishing when I was younger, I prefer to keep my writings for my own eyes. I only have shared them with my husband & parents. They were just therapeutic for me. Plus, when you are a writer, you HAVE to write to get it out of your head! Are you like that too?

I've written a 440 page novel (when saved as a PDF) over the course of 30 years. Simply for catharsis. Altho I've made maybe $100 selling digital copies. :)

When I have an idea, I have to write it down and get it on paper so that I don't loose what is bouncing around in my head.
