Ever gotten involved in copyright tussle?

As writers, we tend to have our works (articles and books) in the hands of many. Have you had an experience where someone made use of your content without referencing you? How did you handle it?

I don't have any book that I have written for any audience. I only write short stories on some of the websites that I belonged in the past. So, the copyrights for those type of stories belong to the website owners.
