Limiting your time online

It is ridiculously easy to spend a lot of time on the Internet. Do you do anything to try and restrict how much time you are spending?

It takes selfcontrol to be able to limit the amount of time spent on the internet. What I do is that I freeze my social media apps when I need to work. That way, it would be harder to access them.

Interesting...what means do you use to "freeze" your social media apps? I have been using a "minimalist" UI for my Samsung that I can setup time limits on that works...at least sometimes, but it is still a nice thing to pull me out of the doom scrolling.

With my mobile phone on me 24/7 it's definitely hard

I can sit through a two and a half hour movie at the cinema and not check my phone once though - something it seems a lot of people can't do especially when their phone rings or they use their flash camera during a movie! Grr!

Yeah...the whole phone usage while you are in the cinema is kind of crazy to me...like you paid....how much to watch this specifically here and you're going to mess with your phone the whole time?
I understand emergency's and having your phone setup in such a way that you still go any critical calls though.

I wouldn't even answer a critical call. If someone is on their death bed they'll still be on it after the movie. I know it sounds a little heartless but I just like to enjoy my movie with no interruptions.
