Do you think the poet must add an explanation regarding what he/she means while writing the poem?
So many poems have so many different explanations that the very idea which the poet had is often lost is multiple interpretations of the same few lines. I always thought that a commentary of those lines, given as a footnote, by the author would be really helpful in understanding the whole concept.
