What's the first forum you ever joined?

What was the first forum you ever joined? How did you find it? What was the niche? What software did it use?

Wow what a good question! I think it was Warrior Forum where I used to give people advice on stuff. Stuff that I don't and won't talk about on here. I need a break from that, as this is how I make my living.

First forum I joined was BMF. I wasnt really that active on the site though. I posted every now and then but mostly I used the site to find other forums to join and other ways to make money online.

The first forum I joined was Rediff Q&A. There was no payment but enjoyed beihng there. It was at that Site that I made friends with someone form the UK and she even paid me a visit here in India.

That would be between Bizdustry and Trendri. I have forgotten which one came first. But I understand that Bizdustry has undergone some rebranding or merging.

It seems like it was this Bible discussion forum on Vbulletin software. It was around 2002. I was in my mid-twenties. It was a memorable experience because the place got hijacked by these extremists. They were very hostile to opposing views. I really didn't like their views, and I got emotional debating them, so it caused them to come out the winner despite how vile they were.

Anyway, I never messed with forums much after that until 2009 or something and I got on DigitalPoint.com. It was very active back then. It was a very powerful forum then, due to the fact social media hadn't taken over. Anyway, I got introduced into web development there and started to develop some successful employment blogs.

The first forum that I joined is still around - which is unexplained-mysteries.com, which we fondly call as UM.

I was introduced to it as a guest first then as a member when I started watching paranormal hollywood films that triggered a curiosity in me. I started searching the internet for such things and this site popped up!

From there, I think its perhaps one of the few forums in which I am still active.

I remember the very first forum I joined quite well. I always remember I was looking for an answer to an issue I had and was doing a Google search and came across a technology forum that had the answer.

From there I became an active member, at least until the place closed. They were using phpBB at the time and this was back in 2004.

Oh goodness me....that was pre 2010's. The only forums I can remember joining at that time were....

Yep! Every once in a great while, I will go to Archive.org and punch in old forum domains that don't exist anymore and just reminisce.

Yeah....every once in a great while you'll get a thread or two but I'm guessing it can be a bit tricky to crawl all those threads.

I remember getting a custom made Zetaboards theme for an old forum for $50 USD. That was actually an active forum but I cannot remember what it was.

You certainly wouldn't get a custom made Xenforo theme at that price.
