Who performs music?

What do you play? How did you learn? When did you start? What are some obstacles you faced? Is there anyone interested in performing music for the first time? Again, what are some obstacles?

Myself, I started piano in 2nd grade, guitar in 6th grade, and drums in 10th grade. The first two were from private instruction and the last was in high school. Of course, I'm referring to when I started them

I taught myself piano at the age of 26 and also play recorder and harmonica. I have been writing songs since the age of 15. Am not a performer as I was not allowed to be.
